Do you ever think about the position of your camera in relation to the subject you are photographing? Shooting from different angles helps make an image captivating.
Here is why:
We normally see things at eye level, so when we are presented with an image taken from a different vantage point, it peaks our interest.
A high vantage point can make a person look slimmer but can also make a person look submissive.
A shot taken from below can make a person look more powerful and menacing (Please watch out for the enlarged nostrils!).
Similarly, animals look more impressive if they are photographed from eye level or lower. Oftentimes I have sprawled out in mud and gook to take a fantastic shot from ground level.
Kids are usually best photographed at eye level.
Think outside the box and explore new angles to enhance your photos.
